Last week's heat wave is breaking records across the globe, including a "heat dome" over most of the country. Extreme heat is one of the most dangerous types of weather-related hazards in the United States.

Now more than ever, we need to fund disaster relief and response programs to protect our families and communities from unnatural disasters caused by climate change. Yet again and again, Trump and his corrupt administration have attempted to cut agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency and National Weather Service that exist to be our first line of defense.
