New Hampshire Bike Week is Here!

As we welcome riders and visitors from across the country, Chrysalis Recovery Center encourages everyone to make safety a priority on our roads.

Whether you're riding a motorcycle, driving a car, or enjoying the festivities, remember that impaired driving is 100% preventable. Alcohol, drugs, and other mind- or mood-altering substances can significantly impact judgment, reaction time, and coordination and puts everyone at risk.

Plan ahead for a safe ride home.
Never ride or drive impaired. Stay alert and watch for motorcycles. Give riders plenty of space on the road.
Speak up if a friend is considering driving under the influence.

Let's make this Bike Week memorable for all the right reasons by keeping our roads safe, sober, and respectful.

From all of us at Chrysalis Recovery Center, have a safe and enjoyable Bike Week!

Understanding New Hampshire's Probationary License Requirements After a DUI Conviction

If you have recently regained your driving privileges following a DUI conviction in New Hampshire, it's important to understand the responsibilities that come with a probationary license.

During the probationary period, drivers are held to a higher standard of accountability. In New Hampshire, the legal BAC limit for individuals operating under a probationary license is 0.03%, significantly lower than the standard legal limit for a period of 5 years from the date of reinstatement. Additionally, drivers must not operate a vehicle under the influence of any mind- or mood-altering substances, including illegal drugs, prescription medications, or some over the counter medications. Violating results in automatic license suspension for 90 to 180 days.

A probationary license is an opportunity to demonstrate responsible decision-making and a commitment to public safety. A violation will result in additional penalties, loss of driving privileges, and possible further legal consequences.

Recovery and change are possible, but they require ongoing commitment and accountability. Make safe choices, plan ahead, and remember that every decision behind the wheel affects not only you, but everyone on the road.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month πŸ’™

Mental health affects everyone, yet many men continue to struggle in silence due to stigma, fear, or the belief that they have to "tough it out" alone. This month, we encourage open conversations about mental health and remind all men that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Whether you're facing stress, anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, support is available. Checking in on a friend, starting a conversation, or reaching out for professional help can make a life-changing difference.

At Chrysalis Recovery Center, we stand with all men on their journey toward healing, recovery, and wellness. You do not have to face life's challenges alone.

Let's work together to break the stigma, encourage connection, and support men's mental health every day, not just in June.

June is PTSD Awareness Month.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects millions of individuals, including veterans, first responders, survivors of abuse, accidents, and other traumatic experiences. While the effects of trauma may not always be visible, they are very real.

This month, we encourage everyone to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and support those who may be struggling. Healing is possible, and no one has to face PTSD alone. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of PTSD, reach out for support. Recovery begins with a conversation.

Together, we can promote understanding, compassion, and hope.

At Chrysalis Recovery Center, we stand with all those affected by trauma and support the journey toward healing and recovery. πŸ’š

In a world that often encourages us to look outward for fulfillment, it's important to remember that true happiness begins within. While circumstances, achievements, and relationships can bring joy, lasting happiness comes from our mindset, gratitude, purpose, and the choices we make each day.

Take time to care for your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Practice self-compassion, focus on what you can control, and celebrate the small victories along the way. Growth, healing, and happiness are journeys. Not destinations.

Today, choose to invest in yourself. Your peace, your recovery, and your happiness are worth it.
