Do you have a website? If you do, please go check this right now…

Make sure you actually OWN your online assets. If you used a marketing company to build you a website, setup your Google business page, etc…many times marketing companies will actually own those assets, and you’re just leasing them from them!

What that means is, if you ever want to switch marketing companies, or if you want to start managing it yourself, you can’t take it with you!

If you’re unsure, go read through the fine print of the agreement, and if it turns out you don’t actually own those assets, start backing everything up right now.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed as a business owner?

As an entrepreneur have you ever had paralysis by analysis?

There are so many different ways to market your business, and that’s on top of all of your other responsibilities.

With so many ways to spend your time as a business owner, sometimes you feel like you’re spinning your wheels, so a simple principle that every business owner should follow is the “Pillow concept” which is that before your head hits the pillow at the end of the day, more people know about your business than they did before.

You can spend all of your time debating what the “best” method is, but there’s nothing better than action. Whether it’s going to a networking event, doing some cold outreach, or just planning out some social media posts…do something to market your business every day.

When most business owners think of “knowing their numbers” they think about things like how much money is sitting in their bank account, or how much revenue they did last quarter. All good things to know, but you can’t stop there. Truly successful businesses are run by entrepreneurs who know the numbers of their business inside and out. It’s really the only way to make smart decisions with staffing, marketing, and so much more.

If you’re feeling uncertain about the current market and economy, or your business is struggling, start with a deep analysis of your numbers, that way it will be easier for you to cut the things that aren’t working, and double down on the things that are.
