Earthly Roots Hair Studio

Every year, Earthly Roots donates your hair clippings to Matter of Trust to be used in the making of hair booms; which soak up oil spills in the ocean. In 2020, we contributed 10 lbs of hair!

One pound of hair can absorb about one quart of oil. 10 quarts = 2.5 gallons of oil!
Many salons, pet groomers and pet owners across the country are stock piling hair for Matter of Trust. So while 2.5 gallons of oil may not seem like much, every bit helps!

Fun Fact: A gallon of oil can be absorbed in less than 2 minutes with a hair boom!
