When it comes to decluttering kitchens and dining areas, the main focus should be giving everything it's own home while also keeping the space functional. Having less on your counter tops can really open up the space for cooking and entertaining, while also making it easier to keep clean. In this kitchen I moved the wooden shelf with honeys from being catty- cornered in the corner, next to the spices and flat along the wall, while putting the Instant Pot in its place rather than in the middle of the counter. This freed up a ton of space and made use of the dead space that was in the corner before. ( Tip: placing circular objects in a corner conserves space).

Also, decorative clothe napkins can be placed in bowls or baskets to give the room a pop of color while looking more sophisticated.
In formal dining rooms, decorative objects can be placed using the principles of symmetry ( of near symmetry) to achieve a look that is less busy and more appealing.
