MORAL RELATIVISM: DARK DECEPTION

The greatest deception of this age is replacing God's truth with personal opinion. Many today mix the gospel with their own feelings, experiences, and cultural beliefs, making human understanding the standard instead of God's Word. This is the spirit of moral relativism, the belief that truth changes according to the individual rather than remaining rooted in God's unchanging character.

Scripture warns against this deception. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death" (Proverbs 14:12). When people determine right and wrong by their own opinions, they repeat the same rebellion found in the Garden of Eden, choosing to define good and evil apart from God (Genesis 3).

God's truth is absolute. Jesus declared, "Your word is truth" (John 17:17). The Bible does not change with culture, emotions, or public opinion. When personal views are mixed with the gospel, sin is excused, holiness is compromised, and people are led away from repentance and obedience. Isaiah warned, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil" (Isaiah 5:20). Paul also cautioned that a time would come when people would reject sound doctrine and seek teachers who tell them what they want to hear (2 Timothy 4:3 and 4).
