Did you hear? Charlotte City Council members have announced that they want to debate the privacy issues surrounding law enforcement’s use of video from Ring doorbells and cameras. If you had a home security system installed would you be open to giving local police access to the camera coverage?

A recent study found that 49.6%t of home security owners noted a basic desire for increased security as the main motivation behind their installation. 21.9% pointed to a circumstance such as a move, new home purchase, break-in, car break-in, package theft, or attempted robbery-in as their motivation for home security ownership.
