JobsOhio is making a bold investment in Ohio’s future.
A skilled workforce remains one of the most important factors in attracting and retaining business investment. As Ohio continues to compete for economic development projects, workforce investments aligned with the talent employers need are critical.
Today, we announced the JobsOhio Experiential Learning Initiative—a $300 million investment to strengthen Ohio’s talent pipeline over the next decade, helping employers of all sizes fill critical technician, engineering, and technology occupations by expanding experiential learning opportunities for Ohioans.
The first phase will include a technician earn-and-learn program that connects Ohioans with high-wage technician roles. This focus reflects a clear reality: from semiconductor fabrication and aircraft production to pharmaceutical manufacturing, technicians are the skilled professionals who keep the world’s most innovative industries running.
By investing in experiential learning pathways and providing employers with financial incentives and implementation support, JobsOhio is helping lay the foundation for a skilled workforce that will power Ohio’s economy for decades to come.
