🔥 Early Morning Apartment Fire – Residents Safely Evacuated 🔥
In the early morning hours around 2:00 AM on March 14th, a serious structure fire occurred at one of the properties protected by Patriot Protection Services. Our officers on duty quickly recognized the presence of smoke and immediately responded to the situation.
Without hesitation, the officers went above and beyond their normal duties to ensure the safety of the residents inside the building. Despite heavy smoke and extremely limited visibility, they began alerting residents and evacuating the structure to get everyone out as quickly and safely as possible.
Thanks to their quick thinking and immediate action, all residents were successfully evacuated from the building safely and unharmed before the situation worsened. Their actions demonstrate the dedication and commitment our officers have to protecting the communities we serve.
Emergency responders arrived on scene shortly after and worked to contain the fire. The American Red Cross is currently assisting residents who were affected by the incident, helping provide support and resources during this difficult time.
We are extremely proud of our officers for stepping up during a dangerous emergency and demonstrating exactly what Patriot Protection Services stands for, protecting people when it matters most.

‼️ BIG SNOWFALL CHANGES: Confidence is increasing that a large swath of heavy snow will impact a large part of Ohio from Saturday evening through early Monday morning. A bulk of the snow will fall Sunday and Sunday night.
⏲️ TIMING: We'll see snow begin late Saturday afternoon across Southern Ohio. Some of the initial snow may not reach the ground with dry air in place. However, this looks to be quickly overcome and snow will fill in by late afternoon. We could see a break sometime Saturday night before the bulk of the snow moves in by early Sunday but models differ on this idea. Snow continues into early Monday morning before ending.
❄️ SNOWFALL AMOUNTS: Significant and many places will reach a foot of snow or more. It's possible we could see higher amounts in spots but where and how much more are in question. Lower amounts will be found across NW Ohio and Southern Ohio. However, Southern Ohio is tricky. There is the potential for a mix with or change to sleet or freezing rain for a time on Sunday. This cuts down on snowfall totals but brings some ice into the picture before changing back over to snow. Model data doesn't completely agree on this scenario but we look at climatology and past events and we see more often than not this sort of thing happen. For now, we went with 6-10"+ because if the precipitation stays all snow, amounts will easily exceed 10".
🚗 IMPACTS: Big. Huge. Not fun. We suggest delaying travel as roads will be snow covered and it will take time to clear them. Gusty winds will create blowing and drifting snow. The snow will be heavy at times, with 1" per hour snowfall rates likely at times. This will reduce visibility but also allow snow to quickly pile up.
👉 MORE CHANGES EXPECTED!! While some model data we look at has been really consistent the past couple of days, changes are still possible! Additional revisions to our snowfall map are possible through the day on Friday and even Saturday as well. Please stay tuned for the latest!
