Why would anyone spend this much money on building and then neglect to have a home inspector check the place. Yeah, some will tell you and want to convince you that it does not need inspected because "it is new" or the "county looks at it". B.S. get it looked at.

What state are you in? And what was your price per sq. ft.?

Couple things to know:
- These are median new-construction sale prices, not the cost to build.
- Prices include land and builder profit.
- NY & MA are inflated by condo-heavy markets like NYC and Boston.
- A few states with very low new-construction sales are estimated (marked with an asterisk on the map).
