Our next session of Curbside with The Creeds features Melly Miller, a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at OSU who just celebrated her first year of CrossFit. Her favorite thing about day-to-day life is hitting the gym after a tough day on the unit, and zoning out for an hour. Aside from CrossFit, she loves her nephew, Grandad’s pizza, warm glazed donuts, fly fishing, the west, and can-to-mouth whipped cream.
1. What’s the hardest part about working out at home?
The hardest thing about not being able to go to the gym is not only missing my homies, but also losing the opportunity to motivate each other during workouts, AKA try to beat their scores.
2. What have you learned about yourself in quarantine?
During quarantine, I’ve learned to appreciate the little things that we are now without; going out to dinner or grabbing drinks with my favorite people is what I’m missing- hard.
3. What’s the first restaurant you’ll sit down at after it’s all lifted?
I plan to motorboat some lobster Mac, drink too many Kiwi Mules and make my boo-thang DD.

1. What’s the hardest part about working out at home?
Working out at home is challenging to find space to focus on only myself and be in the right mindset.
2. What have you learned about yourself while in quarantine?
My life is a natural quarantine...Ha! I’m a nurse, showing up is my job.
