Please welcome our new pastor, Rev. Chris Hassel! We are blessed that he now calls St. Anne Parish his home.🙏❤️

Fr. Chris Hassel, a native of Kettering, Ohio, was appointed Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church on July 1, 2026. His previous assignments were Pastor at St. Joseph’s in Augusta, GA, Parochial
Administrator/Parochial Vicar at St. Teresa of Avila, Grovetown, Georgia, and Parochial Vicar at St. Francis Xavier, Brunswick, Georgia and Nativity of Our Lady Mission, Darien, Georgia.

Prior to becoming a Priest, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a Communications and Information Systems Officer and then as a contractor for the U.S. Air Force. He received a B.S. in Computer
Science from Bowling Green State University, Ohio in 2002, a M.A. in Philosophical Studies from Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland in 2013, and a Master of Divinity from St.
Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, in Boynton Beach, Florida in 2018.

Over the course of his life, he had heard the call to the priesthood but chose to follow other paths. As his contract was ending with the U.S. Air Force, he again heard the call to the priesthood and finally responded. It was then that he entered the seminary for the Diocese of Savannah. He was ordained a Priest on June 30, 2018.
