Exposure to alcohol can cause many types of problems for unborn children. The term Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or FASD, is used to describe these lifelong problems. There is no cure for FASD.

Alcohol use during pregnancy can lead to lifelong effects, and according to the CDC up to 1 in 20 US school children may have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
