This Ann Lowe gown in our collection is one of a kind. She was the first recognized African American fashion designer and is most famous for creating Jacqueline Bouvier's wedding dress when she married John F. Kennedy. There is an exhibition of Ann Lowe designs opening at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library Sept 9 and running through Jan 7, 2024. CBS Morning is doing a feature story Sept 9 and asked to use video of our dress.
