AN ENCOUNTER WITH TRUE LOVE

*Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:*
*And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. Acts 9:13-14*

It is humanly impossible to forgive someone who has acted with the intention to destroy or hurt you. Yet God's perfect love does not only allow forgiveness but also accepts such a person as His own.
Paul, previously called Saul was someone who was diligently persecuting the people of God. However, during his encounter, he was not shunned by Jesus but led on the path to salvation.
Ananias was surprised to know the Lord wanted to save a man like Saul. He listed all of Saul's flaws before the Lord but that did not matter to the Lord. The Lord was only interested in the fact that Saul was to become His own.
Sometimes, we are quick to pass judgment on people we presume to be very sinful. Even though what they may have done is wrong, it is not our duty to judge them. Ours is to continue interceding for them that they encounter true love which is able to change the vilest offender. It is because of such our Lord Jesus was slain.
In addition, no matter what we may have done wrong ourselves, we are never too far to be reached by the perfect love of God which keeps no record of wrongdoings. Love is calling unto us every day and we must respond to its call.

LIFE APPLICATION
No man is too sinful to be saved. It is because of sinners our Lord Jesus came.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of salvation. May your love draw all men unto salvation.
