We have it all wrong!
Everything we’ve been taught is garbage, and to break free of it is the reason Jesus came!
What if you find out that cleaning up the messes you never created has never been your responsibility??!!

Modern Christianity teachings have become a cesspool of behavior modification practices.
If you do good/be good =get good
But then it doesn’t work…and the “do gooder” blames God because “they did the right thing!”
But there’s Job, who reminds us that there is such a greater picture than the one we see.

Then there’s the 1,2,3, step teachings. Live by these 3 weekly points, and your life is gonna all work out.
Then you’re doing the dang thing, and everything crumbles anyway. Now it’s God’s fault because it didn’t turn out the way your magic spell behavior casting was planned.
The disciples left everything.

Then there’s the “holding others accountable” while your own heart and life is full of pride, ego, and self reliance because you aren’t “like them.” Except you’re worse! Because they don’t pretend they aren’t broken on the inside.
Jesus let people walk away when the call was too great. After a multitude left, He even asked His closest people if they were going too. Freedom. Love operates in freedom.

Sin and Death create ugly messes! Deceptions, lies, traps, and we fall for it at breakneck speeds because we don’t even know how to be free.
JESUS did the work of cleaning up the messes! It is by His blood we are set free. FREEDOM! It is for freedom that He came. The freedom to love, heal, cast out demons, and raise the dead, and operating in the fruits of the spirit! THESE are the measures by which we should be judging someone’s walk with the Lord.

Release yourself today from feeling the need to clean up someone else’s mess! God’s hand is not too short to reach anyone and everyone!

Repeat after me:
It isn’t my responsibility to clean up other people’s messiness. I will rest in God’s freedom for myself and others. I trust You Lord to do the work of cleaning hearts while I share Your Love and beauty with all who will listen!

What does it look like to you?
Freedom is Jesus, shedding His blood to cleanse us once and for all, going to fight Death and Hades and getting the keys, then just being who He is, LIFE!!
