A great Small Business Day at the Capitol was enjoyed by our members yesterday! A welcome from Ohio Leadership Council Chair Al Macre, our emcee was Steve Schramm. We honored Joe Poelking as our Small Business Champion, Senator Bill Reineke (NFIB member) and Representative Bill Romer were our Guardian of Small Business recipients.

Attendees heard from JobsOhio President & CEO JP Nauseef, Speaker of the Ohio House Jason Stephens, Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman (NFIB member), and Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted. We ended with enthusiastic words from State Rep. Scott Lipps (NFIB member) before meeting with legislators in the state capitol.

It's official: Ohio will hold an August election to ask voters whether it should be harder to amend the state constitution. House Republicans passed a resolution 62-37 Wednesday that, if approved by voters, would require 60% of voters to enact new constitutional amendments instead of a simple majority.
