It’s almost time for CPDC Registration for Fall 2023!

The Child and Parent Development Center is The W’s campus laboratory school for campus and the Columbus community. We provide preschool and early education experiences for children who are one-five years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year.

The CPDC is a working laboratory for university students in multiple disciplines to make real life connections with what they learn in their academic coursework. The W has housed an early learning center and lab school since 1929.
The CPDC is a non-profit program and accepts Mississippi Childcare Certificates. The CPDC is part of the School of Education and is licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health.

On this support the through our University foundation account. We use these funds to support our basic needs and supplies.

Early childhood experiences from birth to 5 affect the development of the brain's architecture, which provides the foundation for all future learning, behavior and health. A strong foundation helps children develop the skills they need to become well-functioning adults.
