It's Legal… Now What?
Ma*****na has been moved from Schedule I to Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act.
That’s a significant shift under federal law that now recognizes state medical ma*****na programs, FDA-approved cannabis-derived drugs, and expanded research.
Employers MUST:
– Ensure workplace safety
– Maintain zero tolerance for impairment
– Follow state laws on medical ma*****na
– Engage in the interactive process for accommodation under the ADA
