This past Sunday, the congregation blessed our 2026 Mission Trip participants with a special prayer written by Rev. jess (below). They will travel to Washington, DC, June 13-18 Please keep these young people and the adult chaperones in your prayers. Thanks be to God for each one of them!

Creator of the universe,
You have hung the very stars in the heavens
by which travelers navigate their progress.
You have blown the breeze to cool sweaty faces
and planted shady trees beneath which we rest.
You give us sunlight and moonlight to see the way,
and even the dark of night to test our fortitude and our faith in You.
None of us can go where You are not;
Every path leads to You, and every road, bumpy or smooth,
teaches us how to practice Your peace and show Your love.
With our arms outstretched, in the ancient posture of blessing,
we call Your blessing on these, Your people, youth and adult,
seasoned with experience and on the threshold of the new.
May the root of our YHWH protect them.
May the radical justice of Christ the Anointed inspire them
to learn and to lead.
May the wisdom and inspiration of the Holy Spirit
show them new learning that lasts a lifetime,
and motivate their good work in Your world,
and for such a time as this.
In Your many names and for the sake of the world, we pray,

Set sail for adventure! Join Douglas Fairbanks, a 1931 pipe organ, and one of the most acclaimed silent film accompanists in the country for The Black Pirate (1927). Screening free this Sunday at 4 p.m. with a live organ score performed by Brett Miller, whose sold-out silent film performances have been presented by the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Boston Pops.
