Do what works best for you.

How do you track your calories? In an app? Writing it down? Whichever way helps you stay on track, do that. You need to be in a calorie deficit to help the medication aid in you losing the weight. If you have hit a plateau, try lowering your calories and see if that helps break it.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Side effects with this class of medication tend to be gastric in nature, such as nausea, constipation, mild abdominal pain, and heartburn. Some patients have reported fatigue and headaches. Most people tolerate the medication just fine. As you progress in dosing, the side effects tend to fade.
You should not take this medication is you have a history of pancreatitis, untreated gallbladder disease, Type 1 Diabetes, poorly controlled Type 2 Diabetes, gastroparesis, diabetic retinopathy or a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer.
