The excitement was high, the laughter was contagious, and the competition was fierce as our residents took center stage for The Price Is Right: Maple Ridge Edition!

From guessing the prices of everyday items to competing for bragging rights and prizes, everyone had a wonderful time testing their skills and showing off their shopping savvy. There were plenty of smiles, cheers, and surprise wins throughout the game!

At The Retreat at Maple Ridge, we love creating engaging experiences that bring joy, encourage social connection, and spark a little friendly competition. Today’s game was definitely a winner!

Rainbow Yarn Flowers

Materials

Colorful yarn
Plastic forks
Green craft sticks
School glue
Scissors
Small ball of yarn for flower centers
Vase or jar

Instructions

Step 1
Wrap colorful yarn tightly around the fork until it looks full and thick.

Step 2
Tie a piece of yarn tightly around the center of the wrapped yarn.

Step 3
Slide the yarn bundle off the fork carefully.

Step 4
Cut the loops on both sides to create fluffy flower petals.

Step 5
Trim and shape the yarn into a round flower shape.

Step 6
Glue a rolled yarn circle in the center and attach the flower to a green craft stick stem.

Tips

Use bright multicolor yarn for a rainbow effect.
Trim the petals evenly for fuller flowers.
Make different flower sizes for a colorful bouquet.
