Our summer/fall classes are out... join us for the return of "The Leading Role" and our newest course, "Autism in the Spotlight"!

The Leading Role: By popular demand, our most requested course is BACK at Star Performance Academy! Ever wondered what goes into being a lead in a Broadway musical? Join us for The Leading Role, led by Senior Production Director Ava Gilley. In this 6-week course, students will select a musical theater character (with the assistance of our course director) and perform a character study analysis, completing their study with a final performance of one of the character's iconic songs from popular musicals such as Wicked, Les Mis, and more! Dates: Thursdays from 4:15-5:15pm, June 18th-July 16th; Final Performance/Showcase: July 23rd 4:15-5:15pm. Ages 8-14. Cost: $150.

Autism in the Spotlight: This specialized 8-week course is exclusively for children and teens ages 5–17 with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental, physical, or neurological disabilities, including autism-related ADHD/ADD. The class is designed to provide a supportive, understanding environment where participants can learn, create, and perform alongside peers with similar experiences and needs. Students will explore acting, character development, storytelling, movement, stage presence, and creative expression through theater activities specifically adapted for our neurodivergent performers. Our focus is on building confidence, encouraging social connection, developing communication skills, and celebrating each student's unique strengths. Throughout the course, students will rehearse and prepare a sensory-friendly production of Little Red Riding Hood. Family and friends will be invited to attend the final performance on October 15th, where every actor will have the opportunity to shine in a welcoming and inclusive theatrical experience. No previous acting experience is necessary. *This class is designed specifically for children and teens with disabilities and is structured to meet a variety of learning, communication, sensory, and accessibility needs.*
