We could have made Curse Words a lyric video.
That’s boring.
Instead, we made them something you can actually play.
To celebrate the new single “Never See the Spiral Fade,” by Washington D.C. Space Punks, that drops tomorrow, we built a full arcade-style lyric shooter where the song is the level, the lyrics are part of the anarchy, and the whole thing gets harder the longer you survive.

It is weird. It is loud. It is playable. It actually works.

“Never See the Spiral Fade” drops tomorrow.

Pre-save the single and play it on their Punkerton Records landing page here:

HE IS JUST, A BANANA THREAT.

Our photoshopped tribute to one of hardcore’s most iconic albums, updated for the brave new era where the biggest threat in the room is apparently a dude in a banana costume.

The amount of people saying “maybe he shouldn’t have worn that” is embarrassing and cringe.
A costume is not consent. Looking weird at a punk or hardcore show is not an invitation to be targeted. Wearing something goofy does not mean a band gets to point a crowd at you, and it definitely does not mean people get to put their hands on you.

You can think the costume is annoying. You can think it is dumb. You can even hate it. But that still does not justify a band using the stage to turn a room against one person.

Punk and hardcore are supposed to be places where people can be strange, loud, awkward, ridiculous, and themselves. If your reaction to someone standing out is “they made themselves a target,” then you are not defending the scene. You are defending targeted mob behavior.

Punk and Hardcore should always protect people from being targeted. Even if the they think someone looks ridiculous. Especially then.

(Also, no, this isn’t an A.I. Image.)
