Monday Fun Fact:

In 1930, the Indiana Bell Telephone Company, presently known as the Indianapolis AT&T Building, wanted to expand their 8-story, 11,000 ton steel-frame-and-brick building. However, they did not have the space on either side to do so. Instead of tearing the building down or relocating, they decided to rotate the whole building 90°. They managed to pivot the entire structure while 600 employees continued working without service interruptions from October 20th to November 14th.

Spotlighting some of our interns design concepts for a project in Vicksburg. We love their innovation!

Congratulations to our fifth year interns, Jasmine Topps and Julvian Cattledge, on wrapping up an intense, but rewarding semester at Mississippi State University’s architecture studio in Jackson.

They were challenged to create a window design displaying how the city would be seen from the window they designed. Jasmine and her partner’s window was made with a wooden frame, while Julvian and his partner’s window was fabricated out of metal.

Kudos to these two! 🎉
