Little Lotus

One of the questions I am asked most often during equine assisted Reiki sessions is whether horses that do not come directly to the table are regulating and supporting the client in the same way as the horses that choose to stand close by.

The answer is YES!

Not every horse is called to work from the same distance. Some choose to stand right next to the client, while others remain quietly across the arena. For the horses who stay present within the space, their distance is often intentional. They seem to know exactly where they need to be to best support the client’s emotional regulation, energetic balance, and individual needs.

In this video, you will notice two equine who usually stand fairly close choosing to remain farther away. Yet both stayed engaged with the session the entire time, offering a calm and grounded presence from a distance.

As the video comes to an end, you will also see the effects of one who chose to co facilitate. Standing in a beautifully balanced, almost trance like state, he appeared to embody regulation and coherence, helping to stabilize and harmonize the energy field surrounding us all.

One of the greatest lessons horses teach us is that presence is not measured by proximity. Sometimes the most profound support comes from simply being exactly where they feel called to be.
