Proverbs 3:5 tells us NOT to rely on our own understanding or what we think we know for a reason. Our hearts are deceitful... some days our emotions are all over the place… our thoughts can be unstable... and our feelings tend to fluctuate from one extreme to the other. Our understanding is limited and we are unable to see the complete, overall picture of our circumstances. BUT GOD sees all, God knows all, God understands all, and God is in complete control of it ALL. God never changes and He is faithful to His Word... our part is to TRUST HIM with all our heart!!!

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬

It's easy to fall victim to the trap of allowing the enemy to take a little bitty thought of negativity, have us to stay focused on it and magnify even more thoughts and feelings of negativity. That is why we have to be careful of the thoughts we allow to fill our minds... we have to purposely think on those things that are GOOD. The Bible tells us to capture every rebellious thought and teach them to obey Christ. What we meditate on is what will be magnified and multiplied in our lives.

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. Philippians‬ ‭4:8-9‬
