Hello Listeners,

For the last 5 years, I've started year off with a Song a Day Songwriting Challenge. Only a handful of these songs have reached the light of day and have been shared with others. I made a commitment to myself this year, to not allow anymore songs to sit and collect digital dust on private playlists. I'd rather share them with the world for those who feel moved to listen.

These songs take you on a journey of healing through infertility, becoming a mother in an unconventional way, processing the grief of living through a great collapse, rise in fascism, and making art for arts sake. My hope is that these songs will move and touch you in ways that you most need.

All songs were all written, performed, recorded and mixed by yours truly, Violet Vonder Haar, on GarageBand, in January 2026. I intentionally, have not made post-edits to these tracks, as a means to hold onto the essence of the moment I wrote and recorded them in, imperfections and all. A snapshot in time.
