Grace Academy Child Development Center

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for portions of the surrounding Richland County areas. Out of an abundance of caution, Grace Academy has implemented our shelter-in-place safety protocols.

At this time, all students and staff have been safely moved to enclosed interior areas away from doors and windows in accordance with our emergency preparedness procedures.

Our leadership team is actively monitoring weather conditions and maintaining communication with local emergency and weather authorities. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority.

Families will receive additional updates if any further actions become necessary.

After further consultation with the Department of Transportation and weather analysts, we have decided to reverse our earlier plan to open on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Due to worsening road conditions and rapidly declining temperatures last night, Grace Academy will be closed today for the safety of our students, families, and staff.

We will reopen on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 7 am.

Fourteen years ago, Grace Academy opened its doors with more than just a curriculum; we opened them with a calling. A calling to create a place where childhood is honored, imagination is nurtured, and every small voice is heard and valued.

Since that first morning, our classrooms have echoed with tiny footsteps, joyful laughter, and stories told with wide eyes and wild dreams. We've witnessed first words become full sentences, scribbles become signatures… shy waves become strong handshakes. We’ve watched little ones arrive holding tightly to their parents’ hands—and leave holding tightly to their own purpose.

Through every season, one thing remains true: Grace is more than a name—it's the heart of who we are. To the families who believed in us, the educators who pour their love into each day, and the children—the children—who have colored our world with light and wonder: thank you.
