Last night was exactly what art is supposed to feel like. 🎨🥂
The Opening Reception for the Columbia Arts Council Exhibition was so much fun. I met so many new people, reconnected with familiar faces, and honestly just felt the energy of a community that genuinely shows up for each other. These artists know each other, support each other, and have been building something real here in Columbia for a while now. That’s not something every community has, and it’s worth celebrating.
Columbia is growing its arts scene in a real way, and nights like last night are proof of that.
The show runs through June 12 free, open to the public, and absolutely worth a visit. 52 local artists, one great building, zero excuses not to go. 😄

First time in a long time I haven’t taken a week off with the family for spring break. I didn’t realize how much that time energized me so today I’m escaping to the Frist to see the In Her Place exhibit. This is based on local women artist and runs through the end of April.
While I’m out looking for inspiration, here’s my final Punch the monkey painting and art prints. Prints are available now in my Etsy shop.
