Past & Present: 2144 Sumter Street

This building has been a part of Columbia’s North Main neighborhood since the 1960s. For most of that time, it was home to Dave’s Transmission, a locally owned auto shop that opened in 1979 and became one of those places people just trusted. For 40 years, they kept the neighborhood moving.

After a full renovation, the building has a new life. It’s now home to The Behavior Co, offering ABA therapy and support services to the Columbia community, and Closet Factory, specializing in custom closets, garages, and home organization.
