When we share adoption numbers, it's easy to see just a number.
But behind every one of those 57 adoptions is a story.
A dog who no longer has to wonder where they'll sleep tonight.
A cat who traded a kennel for a sunny windowsill.
A family whose home feels a little fuller.
A foster who said goodbye through happy tears.
A volunteer who gave their time.
A donor who made it possible.
A transport driver, an adoption counselor, a medical team member, a social media share, a kind word, a second chance.
In May, 57 dogs and cats found their forever homes. ๐พ๐
Fifty-seven lives changed forever because of a community that continues to believe every animal deserves love, safety, and a place to belong.
To our adopters, fosters, volunteers, donors, supporters, and rescue partners, thank you for being part of these beautiful stories.
Tonight, somewhere across the DMV area, 57 former CHARM pets are falling asleep in homes of their own.
And there is something truly magical about that. โจ
