Let’s talk ankles 🦶!

An overlooked part of training but honestly the most beneficial especially for us jumpers. The foot/ankle is the first point of contact and endures most of the forces when jumping so it’s our job to take of em! ❤️‍🩹

Long Jump and Triple Jump may look similar, but the takeoff goals are completely different. 👀.

⬇️⬇️Let’s break it down ⬇️⬇️

⚡️Long Jump Takeoff:
The goal is to convert speed into HEIGHT while maintaining as much horizontal velocity as possible. A quality takeoff creates lift, allowing the athlete time to maximize their flight mechanics and landing.

⚡️Triple Jump Takeoff:
The goal is to CONTINUE HORIZONTAL MOMENTUM. Too much height in the hop phase kills rhythm, shortens the following phases, and costs distance. Think “push and go” rather than “jump up.”

The best jumpers understand that the takeoff isn’t one-size-fits-all. Different event. Different objective. Different ex*****on.
