I've never been a fan of the term "work-life balance". Work is a part of your life, it should not be balanced against your entire life. As one of my favorite YouTubers, Timothy Ward, said, If your life was a slice of pizza, work should be no more than 2 slices of that pizza. It should not be half of your entire life. I prefer to use the term life balance. Within that, you manage work, family, hobbies, and taking care of yourself.

Some business leaders like Jeff Bezos hate the phrase 'work-life balance.' Here's what they prefer instead. Jeff Bezos calls work-life balance a "debilitating" phrase. TIAA's CEO calls it a "lie." Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella prefers "work-life harmony."
