Sunset over Pikes Peak tonight

While camping this month in the San Juan Mountains, we visited Creede and stopped to see the famous 100+ foot tall North Clear Creek Falls outside of town. This waterfall is a tributary of the Rio Grande River and flows over a deck of solidified ash from a volcano in the San Juan volcanic field that erupted about 27 million years ago.

Sunrise this morning revealed my neighborhood covered in hoarfrost.
