Why Does Some Permanent Makeup Last Longer Than Others?

One of the questions I get asked the most is: Why did my friend’s permanent makeup last two years, while mine only lasted one?

The answer depends on several factors:

✔ Skin type. Oily skin tends to fade pigment faster than normal or dry skin.

✔ Aftercare. If you don’t follow the healing instructions properly, the results may lose intensity sooner.

✔ Sun exposure. The sun is one of the main reasons pigments fade more quickly over time.

✔ The technique used. Not all techniques deposit pigment in the same way, and they don’t all last the same amount of time.

✔ Your body’s metabolism. Some people naturally break down and eliminate pigment faster than others.

That’s why the longevity of permanent makeup is never exactly the same for everyone. The key is to schedule touch-ups when needed to keep your brows looking beautiful and well-defined.
