Our latest behind-the-scenes vlog on YouTube is now live.

This episode takes you inside the second annual UCCS Student Life Clydechella Spring Concert at the Gallogly Events Center, featuring Thomas Day as the headliner with supporting performances from Chasyn and DJ ZAG.

Originally planned as an outdoor event, the production was moved indoors earlier in the week due to rain and cold temperatures in the forecast. Because we were in the middle of a packed run of back-to-back shows, we kept the same production package and adapted it to a very different environment inside a large gymnasium. What works across an open outdoor courtyard between buildings behaves very differently in a fully enclosed, indoor space, so adjustments had to be made while keeping the original gear plan intact.

This was also one of six shows we filmed over a five-day stretch, so there’s a lot more behind-the-scenes content from this run coming soon.

Some would say it was just a high school assembly, but we approached it like any other live event. The school’s built-in sound system is showing its age, so we brought in a full Martin Audio Ltd sound system to make sure the event had real impact, clarity, and coverage across the entire gym. We also deployed a full lighting rig to bring energy into the room and elevate the production value beyond a typical assembly.

This video walks through the entire day from load-in to setup, rehearsals, showtime, and a quick strike. If you’ve ever wondered what it actually takes to deploy a serious sound system in a gym, build a lighting rig, and keep everything running smoothly, this is a good one.
