I recently bought this shirt and it was pure magic!

I have ALWAYS loved the Spice Girls and they really shaped my views on the world, personally and professionally. I saw them when I was a kid, and it was one of the best days of my life. Then I went to middle school, and was ridiculed for liking them. While my room was covered in Spice Girls posters and all the dolls, I no longer wore my favorite band t shirts. And I learned quickly how much it sucked hiding who you truly are. And I said “SCREW THEM!” and started living a life true to myself, embracing my girl power and being my most authentic self.

I took a quick trip to Vegas during finals week in college to see the girls and hope and pray for one final show with all five of my idols.

Today marks 30 years of Wannabe. It’s more than a song, and girl power is more than a slogan. And funny enough, the people who laughed at me for liking them 30 years ago are now complimenting me on my awesome shirt. Thank you Mel C, Emma, Mel B, Victoria, and Geri for being the role models we all needed 💖💪🏼
