Many former SMW advisors have reconnected with their former students. Today we profile Sean B who ran into a former Afghan pilot while flying for his airline. This chance encounter led to a fulfilling mentorship and enabled other former USAF active duty and vets to get involved through a GoFundMe campaign.

The pieces of legislation highlighted in the post below are just beginning to wind their way through the process and will likely help SMW allies and their families. To qualify, the SMW Afghans have had to complete a rigorous vetting process that took many months to complete. Some are still in the process of safely leaving Afghanistan. Family reunifications have been partial for some. Others may take longer. No One Left Behind has created a useful guide if you want to communicate with your elected representative. These bills are likely to have bi-partisan support, but your voice would certainly improve the odds!
