“Anoche presentó Jerrid Dominquez en el grupo de CRAFT sobre su experiencia con la recuperación de dr**as y alcohol y su papel ahora de Peer Coach en Springs Recovery Connection ayudando la gente buscando la recuperación. Le acompañó su madre y la presentación brindó mucha esperanza a todos que la asistieron por el aprendizaje sobre el papel de un familiar en el proceso de recuperación de su ser querido, lo que puede y no puede controlar, un tema que estudiamos mucho en el programa de CRAFT.

CRAFT (Refuerzo Comunitario y enTrenamientoFamiliar) enseña nuevas estrategias para lidiar con el problema de alcolismo y/o adiccion en tu familia o con otro ser querido. Son doce temas. Nos reunimos distintas cada semana, los martes a 5-6:15pm en persona en Voces Unidas for Justice 2519 Airport Rd. Colorado Springs. Last night, Jerrid Dominguez was our guest speaker at CRAFT. He is a Peer Recovery Coach at Springs Recovery Connection and shared about his experience with addiction as well as recovery. Jerrid‘s mother joined him and the presentation gave hope to all of those in attendance. We learned first hand the role a loving family member plays in the recovery of a loved one with substance use disorder, what they can and can’t control. This is a topic we work on in the CRAFT series.
CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) teaches new strategies for dealing with the problem of alcoholism or addiction in your family or other loved one. The class meets once a week to cover 12 different themes. We meet Tuesdays from 5 to 6:15 PM, in person, at Voces Unidas for Justice 2519 Airport Rd. Colorado Springs.
