The DB Split Squat could very well be the “Glute GOAT” of all lower body movements for one simple reason: the loaded stretch.
With a wide enough stance, the glute on the plant leg will receive an intense stretch, while also being responsible for the initial “drive” to get back into the standing position.
Combining loaded stretches with quality contractions is the key to making some nice gains in the gym, and the DB Split Squat certainly delivers in that department.
is doing an incredible job of loading up her plant leg, and then driving that foot “through the floor” in order to maximize the effectiveness of this amazing unilateral exercise. Nice work Rachelle!

It's not about being better than someone else. It's about being better than you used to be. In today's "Partner Workout", we fed off the energy of our counterparts to make it through the physical and mental battle that this template handed to us!
