We want to thank Alex Rubio with Leone’s Italian Restaurant for dropping off 500 Togo containers for us. This will help us be able to package hot meals for the next 4 Mondays for our feedings. Y’all make sure to follow them and check them out. They are in the sale shopping center as destination church in Hopewell.

🚨 Community Help Needed! 🚨

First off we want to thank G. I. Scoops for dropping off their Togo containers they can no longer. As many of you know, Virginia’s new law that took effect on July 1 means restaurants and other food vendors can no longer use expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) to-go containers. Many businesses may still have leftover inventory they can’t use. (⁠Virginia DEQ)

At Everyone Eats Tri-Cities, we serve 100+ hot meals every Monday to individuals and families in our community. If you know of a restaurant, food truck, school, church, or business that has unused Styrofoam to-go containers they’d otherwise have to dispose of, we’d love to put them to good use by feeding our neighbors in need.

Meet Michael Vanwyck the creator who started Everyone Eats last year. Beside him is Chris Hamilton both Kiwanis Club of Colonial Heights members. We want to thank Chris for his continued help and coming to volunteer each week to help distribute and deliver meals. This was his 8th Monday in a row with helping. 

Another successful feeding tonight. We want to thank Cameron Avenue Church of Christ and the Youth Development Program for providing the hot meals to night. 80+ meals to people in need. We want to thank Cindy Creations & More LLC for always providing and taking the lead with packaging and delivering the meals to the carriage house each Monday. We’re thankful for the Kiwanis Club of Petersburg VA with donating the money and helping distribute meals tonight. We didn’t have our normal feeding today due to it being Memorial Day but we want to thank Cindy Creations & More LLC for always stepping up. They partnered up with Luke’s Baskets & Blessings and delivered meals and care packages to the residents of the Carriage House who are still displaced from their homes as major repairs are being done. We are still accepting donations and looking for people to prepare meals for help us keep this going. Our normal feeding is over 100+ people every Monday now. We want to continue to be able to provide hot meals to our homeless and people living in temporary housing situations.
