From a simple sketch in hand… to a space filled with warmth, texture, and intention.

This family room began as a vision〰️layered millwork framing the fireplace, custom built-ins designed to feel timeless yet lived-in, and a palette rooted in soft neutrals and rich natural materials.

Watching it come to life through construction, detail by detail, and finally installing and styling each piece was truly surreal. Every book, object, and moment was thoughtfully curated to create a space that feels both elevated and effortless.

The simple principles we always return to when styling built-ins:
• Odd numbers are your friend
• Mix heights and textures for depth
• Layer books horizontally + vertically
• Leave a little breathing room (not every inch needs to be filled)
