Thailand is considering moving to a 30 day Tourist Visa program for foreigners who visit Thailand. This will only allow foreigners who are tourists to only travel to Thailand for 30 days instead of 60. Some of the top destination spots in Thailand are Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hua Hin, and many other beautiful destinations which often rely on tourism for their hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and excursions.
Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow told parliament yesterday that he will propose that the Cabinet reduce the 60-day visa-free stay for visitors to Thailand to 30 days, in an effort to prevent some “undesirable foreigners” from exploiting the scheme to engage in illegal activities according to Thai PBS World.
