While we are aware that this state budget is far from perfect, we applaud Governor Stein for signing the $34 billion state spending plan into law.

Yes, Local 391 feels the raises for our public school members needed to be more, but we aren’t walking away from a raise in hopes that it gets better after a veto and risk not having a budget (and therefore no raises) at all.

So thank you, Gov. Stein. Thank you, General Assembly. This is what working together looks like. Do more of it, please.
