River Landing at Sandy Ridge Continuing Care Retirement Community

Creativity, connection and lifelong learning were on full display today at River Landing during a free art class led by resident Carol Pilcher.

Whether participants were picking up a paintbrush for the first time or rediscovering a longtime hobby, the class offered a wonderful opportunity to learn something new, build friendships and enjoy time together.

Thank you to Carol for sharing her talents and to everyone who participated. Experiences like these are just one of the many ways River Landing helps residents stay engaged, connected and inspired.

Thank you for "Moving Through the Decades" with us during Wellness Week 2026! The activities encouraged residents to try something new, while continuing to build meaningful connections that enrich life at River Landing. From Rise & Shine Fitness and Song Bowl Meditation on Monday, to Rockin' Recorders and Tie Dye Art on Tuesday, Jazzercise and Timeless Beats on Wednesday, a scenic hike at Yadkin River/JoLo Winery on Thursday, and wrapping up with the Health Fair and Decades Trivia on Friday... what an incredible week it was! We are grateful to everyone who helped make the week such a success and we look forward to celebrating together again next year!
