This is part of a post from Hugs Radio that says it all as far as how important that station is to the independent artist. There have been more than a few artists who have had their music heard on that station who have gone on to being heard on commercial radio. This is where it all begins!
This is where record companies and publishing houses go to hear what what might be the next "big thing". This is also why it is a very kind thing for you, the listener who hears that music on vowave to leave a like, a heart or a comment on the artist web site. It figures into chart placement.
In my world, I have no desire to ever see a stage, and it isn't so much about where I am on the charts as much as I have a home where my music that I create has a chance to be heard. But there are other who deserve that chance, who have worked SO HARD to bring their musical visions to life. I have become a fan of so many artists that I NEVER would have known about listening to that station. I invite you to give Hugs a place in your bookmarks. Please support independent artists. I have yet to meet any of them who were nothing but kind, grateful people. You won't be sorry!

Face it Gang… This has become the Largest Unified Group of Unsigned & Independent Artists working as one…. Yet still so many want to hold on to the Norm of the Music Machine Business. You are missing the boat, more than you know. Ask around. Promoters are finding more to prey on to add dollars to their pockets each month, still the artists want magic to happen without opening the door for them to come in.. This week my song "Cries From A Graveyard" moved up from Number 11 to Number 9 on the charts. Honestly, considering the massive talent that surrounds me on these charts, I am grateful that I'm there at all. Independent artists have so much more to offer than the same old stuff they spew out on the radio stations. Please support your local singer/songwriters, it means more to them than you'd ever imagine!

I don't know if anyone else has had this happen, but I find it rather disheartening to spend good money on a fancy mic everyone raves about, but you still end up liking your $100.00 Shure SM-58 better.

I'm finding it hard to believe my Song "Cries From A Graveyard" has gone from Number 99 to 65 on the HUGS TOP 200 CHART in just one week!
Meanwhile, my song "Say My Name" has entered the charts at Number 192.
I'm surrounded by massive talent on these charts. I never expected this at all.

My friend and fellow Veteran Bob Hout is quite the musician. He has been teaching other Vets guitar for some time now with Guitars for Vets . Our job is not only to create and play music, but to give of ourselves whenever possible. Bob is a testament to that!

I've been finalizing all my song tracks, getting the legal stuff done like copyrights, UPC Codes, updating the song title images and updating my streaming services as I go. I hope to have a 15 or 16 song CD release in a few months. It's a lot of songs, but I ain't messing around. This barrel is gonna get emptied and "if" anyone buys it, they will get bang for the buck! Looking forward to seeing the end of a very long road!
I think it's going to be called "Everything So Far - The Collection".
Then I'm taking a summer vacation!
