Expanded Food Scrap Recycling Drop-Off Times in the Village of Cold Spring!

The Village of Cold Spring and Town of Philipstown collaborate to offer a food scrap recycling program for residents. Due to popularity, the Village of Cold Spring recently expanded drop-off times at the Kemble Ave food scrap recycling bin to twice per week.

Here are the expanded opportunities to drop off food scrap waste:
𝗞𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲, 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮):

By participating, you'll help keep food scraps out of the landfill and contribute to positive environmental and climate benefits.

𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜?
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻-𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱. You can enroll at Philipstown Town Hall (238 Main Street) or monthly at the Cold Spring Farmers Market. Optional starter kits are $25.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀:
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱: All food scraps, including fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy, bread, rice, pasta, raw and cooked food, bones and shells; cut flowers, napkins, paper towels, and waxed paper.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱: Plastic, metal, yard waste, and any trash.
𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗻 + 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀' 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻.

Philipstown The Philipstown Climate Smart Communities Task Force meets from 7:30 – 9:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month at the Claudio Marzollo Community Center, 107 Glenclyffe, Garrison, NY, 10524.
