🚨 This is going to be a long one, so bear with me… but I need to clear some things up about travel advisors.

I recently saw a segment on 6abcactionnews talking about using a travel advisor for advice… and then booking everything yourself. So let me explain a few things:

1️⃣ When you work with a travel advisor, you’re not just getting ideas. You’re getting time, research, and real experience tailored to your trip. So when that’s used but the booking happens somewhere else, that work goes unpaid, and you’re usually not saving anything anyway.

2️⃣ And yes, I do travel to some really beautiful places, and I absolutely enjoy those experiences. But I’m still working. I’m touring resorts, taking notes, paying attention to details, meeting with suppliers, all so I can confidently guide my clients later. It might look like a vacation, but there’s a lot happening behind the scenes.

This is my business. I help my clients plan trips that actually fit them, avoid mistakes, and have someone in their corner if something goes wrong. And that starts from the first conversation, not just the booking.

If you like to plan your own trips, that’s completely fine. But if you choose to work with a travel advisor, the best experience comes from working together start to finish.

I truly believe there’s a difference between just booking a trip… and having someone help you do it right.
