Southern Fried Cabbage with Onions

Ingredients
2 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 Tbsp real butter
1 medium onion - pared and sliced
1 Tbsp. Garlic - minced
1 medium to large head of cabbage - chopped into ½ inch strips

Soy Sauce Butter Cabbage

Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 pound green cabbage, (about 1/2 head) cored and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Melting Cabbage

Ingredients
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 small head fennel (about 8 ounces), thinly sliced, fronds reserved for serving
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

Roasted Cabbage Steaks

Ingredients
1 (2 to 2 1/2 lb) head green cabbage, (sliced into wedges vertically from head of cabbage about 3/4 to 1-inch thick)
1/4 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic (or use 3/4 tsp garlic powder)
1 tsp dried marjoram
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
